Acute Care
In acute care settings, occupational therapists work in program-based teams with other health care professionals in delivering assessment and intervention to a variety of clients.

Rehabilitation and Continuing Care
This area of occupational therapy offers a range of adult hospital-based services and services for individuals awaiting long-term care or receiving comfort care.

Community-Based Care
Occupational therapy in the community can occur in the client’s home, school or other “community” setting.

Occupational Rehabilitation Services
Occupational therapists working in occupational rehabilitation services are primarily concerned with the ability of clients to perform their daily activities following an illness or injury.

Mental Health Services
Occupational therapists in mental health services work in a variety of settings including inpatient units, outpatient services, community-based services and day programs.

Pediatric Services
Pediatric occupational therapy services are provided primarily through Eastern Health with multiple locations across the province.
